Comrade Waheed Adewale Adeyanju

Comrade Adewale Adeyanju born in Oyo town, Oyo State to the Royal family of Adeyanju spent his early life in his village country home with his father Adeyanju, an accomplished entrepreneur and astute businessman.
Comrade Adewale Adeyanju had his Primary Education at Saint Timothy’s College, Yaba and attended Oluwole Public School, Mushin- Lagos for his Secondary Education. He proceeded to Rimax Institute for Computer Studies & Technology Yaba, Lagos, where he majored in Business Administration. He had entrepreneur skills training at the Maritime Institute of Technology and Graduate Studies, Linthincum, Maryland, USA.

He is a through bred professional equipped adequately for the arduous task of people and information management, he stated his working career in the Port as an operation Personnel from where through sheer dint of hard work rose through the ranks of become operations manager.
Comrade Adewale Adeyanju understanding and capacity to handle issues of conclict dispassionately endeared him to colleagues some of whom he personally removed from the jugular of injustice and oppression leading to his overwhelming emergence as a unit chairman.

He is indeed a brilliant, result oriented and understanding young man who knows how to settle disputes and resolve conflicts calmly without recourse of threats which he often put to use in the service of his colleagues and the union.
He is a major player i9n the politics of Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria, he was elected as the National Treasurer in 2002 and serve meritoriously for two tenures helping in his usual resilient way to bring peace of the ports and to the Maritime Sub Sector bargaining as means to achieve redress and result.

His tenure as National treasurer left indelible marks in the annals of the Union elevating book keeping and professionalism.
Invariably, Adewale’s foray into labour matters has been a unifying factor in its effect on national progress. He exemplifies the nation of the common good while commanding a high of public trust and wide fellowship cutting across all barriers.
Presently, Comrade (Price) Waheed Adewale Adeyanju seats as the elected President General, Maritime workers Union of Nigeria and Chairman, international Transport workers Federation (ITF), seafarers Session, African, of which is membership cut across Nigerian Port Authority, Dock workers, Seafarers/NIWA. As president Dock workers Branch, he initiated and concluded the assigning of a condition of service for all registered dockworkers which is unprecedented in the history of dock business in Nigeria.
Comrade Adeyanju’s achievements as President Dock workers Branch are numerous culminating in subsisting industrial peace and harmony, changes, innovations, built bridges and mended fences.
The international Transport Workers Federation (ITF) – a Global union Federation (GUF) comprised of all Transport Unions in the entire world’s continent gave recognition to his commitment and service to the labour movement and humanity, consequently, at the 9th International Transport Workers Federation (ITF) Africa Regional Conference which held from 6th – 9th March, 2018 in Abuja with representative of more than 44 Africa countries present, he was elected as chairman, seafarers session, African Region while still retaining his membership of the fair practice committee (FPC), Doc Labour Sessions of the ITF which oversee dock Labour issue as it affects Africa and the world in General.
Comrade (Prince) Waheed Adewale Adeyanju is severally described as compassionate, a philanthropist, nationalist, a bridge builder, reformist, community leader, devoted parent and husband, astute administrator, patriot and keeper pf the conscience of the workers.
