Hon. Iju Tony Nwabunike was born on 13th June, 1962 in Ekwusigo Local Government Area in Anambra State. He is an astute, sterling and passionate professional who has brought these tributes to bear in the Freight and Forwarding. Political, Social and Oil sectors, He is the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Mactonnel Nigeria Limited; CAAL Shipping Line Limited; Naipet Energy Limited; Zommah BDC ICNL and Anambra Bonded Container Freight Terminal (ABCFTL)
He is versatile in the business of Freight and Forwarding with over twenty-seven years of progressive experience in the industry, serving alongside three presidents as the Secretary General of ANLCA (Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents) from 1999 – 2004. During which he ensured regular monitoring and implementation of necessary corrective measures in the operations of the maritime industry.
He is a graduate of University of Lagos, Business Administration 2nd Class Upper, a graduate of Business Administration and Management from the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) Enugu State and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the Prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka, as well as bagged various Certificates in the Oil and Gas, Logistics, and Maritime sectors.
With his wealth of experience in the maritime industry, he was able to improve on the operational standard for CUSTOMS ASYCUDA PROJECTS (Now NICIS 2). He is multi-faceted, efficient and reliable.
His excellent communication skills catapulted him to the office of the Board Chairmanship of Council for the Regulations of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN) which was established in 2007. He won the best clearing agent of the year 1999 (MARAN); Awarded the Most Enterprising Shipping Agent in 2002 due to and is presently a Board of Trustees (BOT) member, (Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents, and ANLCA).
Hon. Tony Nwabuike is a member of Professional Bodies: Maritime Diploma in National Institute of Shipping “Fellow” “F.INS”; Chartered Freight forwarder- Council for the regulation of freight forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN) and Executive Member – Academy for Entrepreneurial Studies, Nigeria.
