COMRADE KASIM ISA ADUWA
hails from Umaisha Tuto local Government of Nassarawa State.
He had his early Education at Central Pilot School, Umaisha and proceeded to Ahmadiya, College Umaisha, in Nassarawa State and obtained his West Africa School Certificate with a brilliant result. The young Kasim gained admission into the Plateau State University where he bags Bsc (hons) in Accounting. Upon graduation, he worked briefly with John Ken Hospital, Akoka Yaba, Lagos State as a Store Keeper. As the Managing Director of Dalafiz Maritime Services he devoted his time to clearing, Importing and Exporting of goods, and used his entrepreneurship as a tool to improve his life. He joined the National Council of Managing Directors of Licensed Custom Agent (NCMDLCS) IN 2014.
He is an established businessman with investment in key sectors of the Economy including Agriculture, in recognition of his Sterling Leadership qualities. He was elected as the Apapa Cleric man in January 2017 till December 2020, he was move to Tincan Island Port as chairman from December 2020 till date. In just two months of his appointment, he became the Western Zone Chairman of National Council of Managing Directors of Licensed Customs Agents.
He has always been committed to creating and sustaining Excellence in the Maritime Industry since his appointment as the Tincan Island Port Chairman. He has also brought tremendous changes repositioning the Maritime Industry in line with international and acceptable global standards. This includes, the push on shipping companies and terminal operators to provide holding bag for their empty containers to be dropped, negotiate with different shipping companies and terminal operators over the arbitrary part charges incured by their members through containers deposit for not dropping empty containers in time and requesting for diligent attention in respect of trafficking gridlock on port access road in Apapa/Oshodi expressway. As the Chairman of Tincan Island port of NCMDLCS he has succeeded in establishing good working relationship with all major stakeholders and security agencies in the Maritime Industry. It is to his credit that the name of the Association has been projected to an enviable level and has gotten a lot of recognition from sister Associations due to his forward looking activities especially the policy of educating members and exposing them to the best practice which is obtained in the world.
He has trained and retained members he believed to be key in moving the mission of National Council of Managing Directors of Licensed Customs Agents to greater height. He is always fighting for the rights of the common people. He enjoys travelling and reading. His contribution to the community development effort is legendary. COMRADE KASIM ISA ADUWA is a recipient of many Awards which in recognition to his contribution to the growth of Nigerian Economy and the Maritime Sector.
Recently, the new port Commissioner of Police G.P OKORO honored him with an Award in recognition of his Exemplary Leadership as the chapter Chairman.
A devoted Muslim, he is happily married and blessed with six children, four boys and two girls
